I want to afford it, but...

Occasionally people say they'd like to learn with us, but they can't afford to. If you are one of those people, we have the following suggestions -- do one, several, or invent your own:

1) Use the book Wishcraft by Barbara Sher to help you get clear about what you want to accomplish, and begin moving forward.  (I also recommend several other excellent books in the TOOLSforCHANGE section, but this gives you a full process, and is oriented to those not currently earning much money).

2) Take a class, rather than getting one-to-one coaching.

3) Organize a group of friends to hire Nathaniel for a class -- call yourselves a community group, and ask us for the low end of our sliding scale.  Make sure you find friends who want to focus on an issue similar to yours, so we can all focus on that issue together. Hire Nathaniel for a series of shorter (two hour) classes, and then you get to do ongoing work together with your friends between classes. THIS IS VERY VALUABLE.

4) Stop drinking beer (or smoking cigarettes, or eating pastries, or drinking coffee (god forbid)).  If you buy four pints a week (or several packs of cigarettes, etc.) this can easily equal £50 a month.

5) Ask someone to help you pay for it.

6) Charge more money for your own services.

7) Ask your employer to pay for it, as professional development.

8) Discover a skill of your own that you can trade to us, preferably a skill that you absolutely love to practice.

9) Ask for a concessionary rate.

10) Convince us that we want to work with you for free (because you are so marvelous?).
